Monday June 28th will be the last chance for the citizens of Grain Valley to voice their opinion on the city's proposed changes to the trash service.
Seven reasons why we need to defeat this proposed change
#1 Briggs Trash Service is currently charging $14 a month. The city will charge $15 more than some residence are currently paying.
#2 You can currently fire your current trash service provider. If the city takes over you will not be able to.
#3 It will put other small trash carriers out of business in Grain Valley
#4 It will be connected to your water bill and if you don't pay you will have to appear in court.
#5 50% of the Grain Valley citizens are against it so why force it on them
#6 They can raise the rates and you will have no say in the process. They can raise the rates at any time and you will not be able to fire them.
#7 Your freedom of choice will be taken away.
Example: If you don't like the trash provider for any reason your stuck
with them.
In Liberty our trash service went from $16 to $36 and that is a ridiculous increase
we need to keep our small businesses and freedoms alive. When one company takes over, the fees can increase and we will have no ability to speak. Now is the time to be heard. So make sure you are at the city hall meeting Monday June 28th at 7:00pm
to stop the force of trash on citizens.
It is important to show up to make each alderman hear us.
